Yağ Mosque in Seyhan district was converted from a church into a mosque in 1501 on the orders of Ramazanoğlu Halil Bey; its original name was Eski Cami (Old Mosque). It came to be called Yağ Camii (Oil Mosque) because of the oil market once held at its gate. Its minaret was completed in 1525. Visiting conditions may have changed since the 2023 earthquakes; check before you go.
