Lying between Aksaray and Niğde provinces, Mount Hasan is an inactive volcanic mountain; of its two main cones, Great Hasan Dağı reaches 3,268 metres and Little Hasan Dağı about 3,040 metres. With its rich plant life and wildlife, the area around the mountain has been developed as an ecotourism zone, used for mountaineering, paragliding, hiking and cycling.
