Dedicated to the goddess Aphrodite, the city had one of the famous sculpture schools of antiquity. The grand Tetrapylon gate, one of the best-preserved ancient stadiums in Anatolia and the museum displaying its sculptures are the highlights. It was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2017.
