Kurucaşile, Bartın's westernmost coastal district, is built on the site of the ancient city of Kromna. It is known for a wooden boat and gulet-building tradition going back more than 300 years; the Kapısuyu, Karaman and Tekkeönü beaches and the Gölderesi Waterfall are its other highlights.
