İsfahan Bey Mosque

The only historic building surviving in central Bingöl, dating from the 16th century.

The İsfahan Bey Mosque was built in the 1500s by İsfahan Bey, lord of Çapakçur, and is the oldest building in central Bingöl. The square-plan structure of cut and rubble stone has ram-headed stones around its mihrab and doorway, details that reflect Akkoyunlu architecture. It has been repaired after earthquakes over the years.
