A port city near Dalyan village in Ezine, founded in 310 BC in the name of Alexander the Great.

Its name meaning "Alexander's home in Troas", the city covered a planned area of 390 hectares and was enclosed by 8 kilometres of walls. One of the largest ancient cities in Anatolia, Alexandria Troas reached its height under Rome, when its population grew to around 100,000, and it served for a long time as the region's main port.
