Tirebolu Castle (also called Saint-Jean Castle), built on a natural rock in the sea north of the town centre, is a small castle on a peninsula. Nearby Bedrama Castle, perched on a hill 250 m high to watch over the Harşit valley and its link to the sea, has no surviving inscription, so its exact date of construction is unknown.
