Bakırköy

Bakırköy is a district on İstanbul's European side on the Marmara Sea, with a 13-kilometre shoreline that includes a beach at Florya and small cliffs at Yeşilköy and Yeşilyurt. Known in Byzantine times as Hebdomon, it holds historic structures such as the Fildamı Cistern and the Church of St. George, the Simenoğlu Mansion where the Treaty of San Stefano was signed, and Ataköy, Turkey's first mass-housing development.
