Çatalca

Çatalca is a large, largely rural district at the western edge of İstanbul, stretching from the Black Sea coast toward the Marmara Sea over 1,142 km². Lake Durusu (Terkos) and Lake Büyükçekmece, the İnceğiz Caves, the Çatalca Population-Exchange Museum and the Kurşunlugerme aqueduct are its main natural and historic sites; sunflowers, grain and dairy products are the leading local produce.
