Ahi Evran Lodge and Tomb

Ahi Evran, whose real name was Sheikh Nasirüddin Mahmud, was a tanner and mystic known as the founder of the Ahi organisation that brought together tradesmen and craftsmen. The lodge in Kırşehir grew up around his tomb and, with additions over several periods, became today's mosque, tomb and lodge rooms. The tomb is reached by stairs from inside the mosque. Together with the Cacabey Madrasa, it is on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.
