Located in the Lakes Region, Lake Beyşehir is Türkiye's largest freshwater lake, known for its islands large and small, its beaches and its karst caves. The area around the lake was declared a national park in 1993, covering 88,750 hectares. Fish species in the lake include carp, perch and tench.
