Malatya
Malatya is known for its world-famous apricots. The UNESCO-listed Arslantepe Mound, the Levent Valley in Akçadağ, the Somuncu Baba Complex and Tohma Canyon in Darende are its highlights. The province was badly hit by the 2023 earthquakes, and some historic buildings are under repair.
