Mersin Museum stands close to the shore in Akdeniz district. Designed along contemporary museum lines, it combines exhibition halls with temporary galleries, a children's archaeopark, a library and a café. Sections such as a time tunnel, a chronological exhibition hall and an ethnographic hall trace the region's history and everyday culture.
