Historic Murat Bridge
A historic stone bridge with 12 arches over the Murat River.

Dated to the Seljuk period, the bridge crosses the Murat River at the 10th kilometre of the Muş-Varto road. It is 143 metres long, about 5 metres wide and has 12 arches; its inscription dated 1871 is thought to record a repair. The bridge is still in use and is lit up at night, and the rest area beside it makes for a riverside stop.
