At 1,884 metres in Çamlıhemşin district, Elevit Plateau is visited mostly in summer by emigrants returning from abroad. With traditional highland houses offering accommodation, it is also known for its August festivals famous for horon folk dancing, and wild animals typical of the Black Sea, such as wild goats, are found in its surroundings.
