Sinop Archaeological Museum houses around 13,000 artefacts. Its collection displays vessels, metal tools, vases and terracotta figurines in chronological order, from the Early Bronze Age to the Byzantine period. A 2,500-year-old sarcophagus, thought to belong to a sailor, is among its notable pieces.
