The Hamamboğazı hot springs, north-east of central Banaz near the İzmir-Ankara highway, are among the oldest thermal springs in Turkey, known since Roman times. The area has three separate water sources, called Gazoz, Kara Kız and Sarı Kız, with an average water temperature of 60°C.
