The Great Mosque of Kilis stands in the Hacı Gümüş neighbourhood, one of the city's oldest quarters, and is the oldest and largest mosque in Kilis. The rectangular building has a 7.3-metre dome over the area in front of the mihrab, with twelve arched windows around its drum, and madrasa cells line the courtyard to the east and west.
